Villa Sandemarie stands at Kaya Strauss 25 in Cas Grandi, a quiet residential area on the southeast side of Curaçao. Jan Thiel is about ten minutes away by car, Hato airport about half an hour.
Cas Grandi is not a tourist strip. You stay among the people who live there all year, and in the evening you mostly hear the wind. If you want nightlife within walking distance, this is the wrong place. If you want quiet with the beach ten minutes away, it is the right one.

Count on a rental car. No bus passes the door and the distances on Curaçao are just too far to walk. With a car you are on the other side of the island within half an hour, and that is exactly what makes Curaçao worthwhile. There is a private parking space at the house.
If you travel with eleven people, you need two cars. That is not something we arrange, but it is worth putting in your budget.

No, for that you take the car. Jan Thiel is about ten minutes away. That is the trade-off: in return the neighborhood is quiet and you look out over Spanish Water instead of a parking lot.
With a group of up to about six people one car is enough. If you travel with ten or eleven, count on two. There is space to park at the house.
Cas Grandi is an ordinary residential area where people live all year, not a nightlife district. It is quiet in the evening. Mostly you hear the wind and the occasional dog.
